What we collect

When installed on a store, RetainGuard receives order data through Shopify webhooks (orders/create, orders/updated). From each order we store:

• Order ID, total price, and currency
• Customer ID and email address
• Whether the order used a selling plan (subscription) or a discount code
• The order's creation and cancellation timestamps

We do not collect customer names, phone numbers, or shipping/billing addresses. We do not access payment details.

Why we collect it

This data is used exclusively to power the merchant-facing analytics dashboard inside the app: recurring revenue estimates, repeat-customer rate, churn/at-risk detection, and discount-abuse detection. We do not use customer data for marketing, advertising, or any purpose other than providing this analytics functionality to the merchant who installed the app.

How long we keep it

Order data is retained only while the app is installed on a store. When a merchant uninstalls RetainGuard, we delete all order and customer data associated with that store within 48 hours, triggered automatically by Shopify's app/uninstalled webhook.

Sharing

We do not sell customer data, and we do not share it with any third party.
